Aulacero Journal is an international open-access scientific publication, edited by Metagrama Editorial, dedicated to the dissemination of original research results in the field of Educational Sciences. With a multidisciplinary approach, the journal promotes critical analysis, methodological innovation, and academic reflection on teaching-learning processes in diverse contexts and educational levels. Aulacero accepts original, unpublished contributions in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, fostering global knowledge exchange.

2. Target Audience

3. Types of Contributions

The journal considers the following manuscript types for publication:

  • Editorials: Opinion or invitation articles written by the editorial team or invited experts. All manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under simultaneous evaluation in another journal.

4. Editorial Process

4.1 Preliminary Editorial Review (Desk Review)

All received manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the Editorial Committee to verify:

  • Thematic relevance to the journal's scope.
  • Compliance with editorial and formatting standards.
  • Scientific quality and minimum methodological rigor.
  • Originality of content. Manuscripts that do not meet these essential requirements may be rejected at this stage without proceeding to external evaluation.

4.2 Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the preliminary phase will undergo peer review under the following modalities:

  • Double-blind (standard modality): Guarantees strict anonymity between authors and reviewers to ensure impartiality.
  • Open peer review (optional): In line with open science principles, this modality may be applied with the explicit informed consent of both parties.

Each manuscript will be evaluated by at least two external experts in the thematic area.

4.3 Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editorial Committee will make a decision. Possible outcomes are:

  • Accepted.
  • Accepted with revisions (minor or major).
  • Resubmit for further evaluation.
  • Rejected.

4.4 Timeline

  • Evaluation time: up to 12 weeks.
  • Publication time after acceptance: 2 to 3 weeks.

5. Publication Frequency

Aulacero operates under a continuous publishing model. This model allows for immediate dissemination of articles once correction, layout, and approval processes are completed, speeding up access to science.

6. Open Access Policy

The journal adheres to the principle that scientific knowledge should be a common good. Therefore, Aulacero provides immediate and free open access to all its content, with no economic or technical barriers for the global community.

7. License for Use

All content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license. This license allows users to:

  • Share and adapt the material for any purpose, provided proper authorship is credited.
  • Restrict the use of the material for explicit commercial purposes.

8. Article Processing Charges (APC)

To sustain the quality of editorial processes, Aulacero applies a funding model based on Article Processing Charges (APC).

  • Standard amount: 100 USD per accepted article.
  • Payment time: After notification of manuscript acceptance. It is imperative to clarify that payment of the APC does not condition or guarantee acceptance of the article; acceptance is governed exclusively by scientific quality criteria.

8.1 Services Covered by the APC

  • The APC includes comprehensive editorial management, the peer review system, style correction, professional layout, DOI assignment, and dissemination in relevant indexes.

8.2 Waivers

The journal may grant full waivers or partial discounts in duly justified cases, subject to evaluation and approval by the Editorial Committee.

8.3 Refund Policy

No refunds will be made once the editorial process has begun after manuscript acceptance.

9. Ethics and Good Practices

Aulacero strictly follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), ensuring integrity, transparency, and rigor at all stages of the publication process. Authors are required to:

  • Ensure the absolute originality of their work.
  • Explicitly declare any potential conflicts of interest.
  • Comply with current ethical standards for research involving human subjects or sensitive data.

10. Plagiarism Detection

All manuscripts are checked using advanced similarity detection tools (e.g., DupliChecker), complemented by expert editorial analysis. The policy establishes:

  • Immediate rejection if proven plagiarism or self-plagiarism is detected.
  • Evaluation of similarity indices based on acceptable disciplinary standards and editorial judgment.

11. Preprint Policy

The journal allows consideration of manuscripts previously deposited on preprint servers (e.g., arXiv, SSRN), provided this condition is transparently declared by the authors at the time of submission.

12. Copyright

Authors retain full copyright over their works. By publishing in Aulacero, they grant the journal the right of first publication and to license the work under the established terms, allowing its dissemination and citation.

13. Self-Archiving Policy

To maximize research visibility and impact, Aulacero allows and encourages self-archiving of works in institutional repositories and academic platforms. This journal adheres to the blue color policy, allowing authors to deposit:

  • The submitted version (preprint).
  • The accepted version (postprint).
  • The final published version (editorial PDF).

14. Digital Identification

All published articles receive a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), ensuring their traceability, persistence, and citation in the international scientific ecosystem.

15. Publication Languages
